As a keen sailor on the West Coast of Scotland and co-owner of a 34.2ft Jeanneau Sun Odyssey "Sláinte" (Gaelic for "Good Health") I was rather dissapointed at the lack of websites listing possible places to sail to. I have started this site to rectify this as Scotland (and in particular the West Coast) has so much to offer Sailors.

By using the Joomla! Content Management System, PHP scripting and a MySQL database, I hope to develop this site so that it has a lot of places to visit with photos and details of local amenities. Eventually I'll look at setting up forms that users can update the content and along with forums I hope this site could become a handy place for all sailors and people with an interest in the West Coast.
